My mother has had AlertOne for several years. Thankfully, she has never had to use it for an emergency. I can tell you though, that I feel confident with with system because of their response or calls to different situations.
Anytime my mother’s power has gone out they contact her by phone to confirm everything is OK, and once when she wasn’t home to answer the phone they contacted the first person on the contact list. They also call when the temperature of her bedroom, where the monitor is, registers high. My mother likes to keep her house hotter than most people and it’s nice to know they’re watching it. They have also called several other times when a visiting child decided to play with the buttons and when something on her nightstand fell over on the monitor. If she doesn’t respond to them through the monitor directly at once, they call her phone immediately, if no answer, they immediately call first person on the list. Luckily, we’ve been able to quickly determine the causes before EMT were dispatched unnecessarily.
I give reliability a 4 only because we haven’t tested it for a real emergency yet.
